Get ready for The Viennese Christmas Ball – learn to dance Viennese Waltz or refresh your skills! Join us for a series of lessons in Viennese Waltz, taught by Todd Borzych and Migle Gineityte, who have performed solo at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, the Kennedy Center, the Austrian Embassy, and the White House, and have taught the Viennese Waltz and other social dances to thousands of Washingtonians.
1. Beginners - Sat, 23 Nov, 3:00-6:00 pm: Intro to Viennese Waltz, stationary basics, natural (right) and reverse (left) turns, dancefloor navigation skills, Polka basics, Viennese ballroom etiquette, assisted practice time
2. Advanced - Sat, 30 Nov, 3:00-6:00 pm: Whether you would like to build on what you've learned in session 1 or if you have danced Viennese Waltz before and are looking for a refresher - this session is for you! In addition to drilling natural (right) and reverse (left) turns and assisted practice time, Todd and Migle will also teach Fledermaus Quadrille #6 so you're ready for the big night (time permitting)!
